Roof Insurance Claim Denied? All Is Not Lost!

If Your Claim Was Denied, There’s Still a Path Forward

Having an insurance claim denied can leave you feeling helpless. At the end of a long, arduous process, it’s tough to hear from your insurance company that your roof claim won’t be accepted and that you won’t receive coverage for damage to your home.

But here at Action Roofing & Construction, Inc., we have a hard time taking “no” for an answer when it comes to insurance companies. Our skilled team of roofers has experience not just in roofing, but in expertly navigating the insurance claim process to help get maximum coverage for our customers.* If your claim was denied, here’s how we can help!

The Typical Insurance Roof Claim Process

While every insurance company differs slightly in their coverage and way of doing business, the general process for filing a roof insurance claim will remain the same. If you’ve had your claim denied, you’ve likely already gone through these steps.

The first step most homeowners will take is to contact their insurance provider to inform them of potential damage to their home. This is typically done following a major storm that brings high winds and potentially damaging hail, and can often be completed over the phone or via an online form.

Next, the insurance company will send an adjuster to the property to assess damages. They’ll examine the roof and home exterior for any signs of damage that will be covered by insurance. Following this, the insurance provider will provide a quote.

This quote can be used to cover repairs or, in some cases, a full roof replacement, and the insurance check is typically disbursed following completion of roofing work.

Claim Denied? It’s Not the End of the Line!

Sadly, a roof insurance claim is not guaranteed to be accepted during the above process. Often, your insurance provider may miss damage to your home and provide an estimate that doesn’t cover all the damages. In some cases, they may decide you aren’t covered at all.

However, while the above looks like a straightforward step-by-step process, a claim denial is not the end of the road. What many homeowners don’t realize is that claims can be appealed, and damages can be better substantiated with a roofer present.

The Insurance Claim Process with Action Roofing

Here at Action Roofing, we’re dedicated to our customers, and we fight hard to help them get the coverage they deserve for roofing and home exterior damage. There are a couple key ways in which we differ from our competition in the roofing industry.

With You Every Step of the Way

The first difference is that Action Roofing stays by your side throughout the roof insurance claim process. In fact, while reaching out to your insurance provider, we recommend also scheduling a preliminary inspection from one of our roofing experts. We’ll thoroughly examine every detail of your roof and home exterior, and then we’ll walk through your property with your insurance adjuster to ensure no damage is overlooked.

Try, Try Again

What sets us apart even further from other roofers is our team’s unyielding persistence in helping our customers receive coverage for their roof. It’s hard to overstate it: We simply don’t give up. Many of our customers’ success stories are a result of our team trying every possible angle to get a fair settlement from insurance companies—including some avenues other roofing companies simply don’t know about.

At Action Roofing, we leave no stone unturned when it comes to identifying and diagnosing damage to your roof. We use that persistence and attention to detail to our customers’ advantage when it comes to insurance coverage for storm damage repair and restoration work.
