Slides
Located on the shores of Lake Travis, this boutique waterpark is ideal for families with children. It offers a variety of slide attractions, pools, and even its own private beach. It also has indoor and outdoor dining options, plus bungalows for overnight stays.
A wristband is required for all visitors who want to use the pool or slide attractions. Wristbands can be purchased at the front gate. Children under 2 are admitted free of charge.
Those who are feeling brave can try out Sidewinder, the park’s giant half-pipe tube ride. There is also a Lazy Lagoon and the Gator’s Crossing, where you leap from one float to the next. For those who need a break, there’s the Waterfall Fountain in the middle of the lagoon.
This is an okay place to visit. It’s a bit far from town and there is no parking on site. The rides are a bit pricey and the food is pretty bad.
Beach
Located on Lake Travis, Volente Beach is one of the finest beaches near Austin. The beach has a host of waterpark attractions and is surrounded by various indoor and outdoor dining places. It also offers bungalows for overnight stays. Guests can book a private boat excursion for a special experience at the lake.
Visitors will find the beach at the waterpark very clean and well-maintained. There are a number of volleyball courts and lots of space for kids to play. There are also a few snack stands and bars to get drinks and food.
Besides the beach, Volente Beach Resort & Waterpark offers many other amenities such as a pool bar, an outdoor restaurant, and bungalows for overnight stays. Dining

Adam Weedman and a few other couples bought Volente Beach in 2017. He says it’s a hangout for locals, especially on Friday night when people head there for the karaoke. They also head to Beachside Billy’s, a full-service restaurant that serves up burgers and golden Wisconsin cheese curds. The place is open May-September, but the waterpark itself is only open during the summer.
