Frontier Park is a beautiful natural park where visitors can enjoy the outdoors while hiking, playing volleyball, and picnicking. The annual Pfirecracker Pfestival in July features live music, fireworks, and carnival rides for all ages. The Pfarmer’s Market held at Heritage Park provides visitors with the opportunity to buy locally grown products such as vegetables, freshly baked goods, and handmade crafts.
In addition, there are several restaurants and cafes located in the historic downtown area. The town’s new public library is an excellent resource for learning and entertainment. It has many different books and programs for children of all ages. It also has a wide selection of audiovisual materials for all types of learners.
Mountain Creek East
This well-established family-friendly neighborhood features large homes that are reasonably priced. The area is located in the city of Roswell but residents pay Cobb County taxes (Most of Roswell is in nearby Fulton County).
After Intrawest sold Mountain Creek to Crystal Springs Resort in 2010, the new owners began a program of improvement and expansion that included reintroducing golf at the original Great Gorge course and building the Red Tail Lodge on Vernon Peak. This facility replaced the tent complex and contains new restaurants, bars, rental lockers, offices, and a skier services center.
The community hosts social events throughout the year for children and adults. These include an Easter party, a 4th of July bike parade, and a Halloween party. The HOA also sponsors a yearly cookout for Memorial Day and a Labor Day pig roast. HOA dues are around $45 per month and include the community pool.
